Alexandria Morgan is the next icon in the modeling world.
What an incredible few years since I photographed Alexandria Morgan back in November 2011. The moment I met her, I knew this soft spoken and beautiful young lady was heading for greatness. She has a rare gift. I’ve been watching her success for the last two years, cheering from the sidelines as she shot for Vogue Italia this month and then Alexandria Morgan runs strapless commercial rocked the nation this week.
I couldn’t believe my eyes earlier this month when I read this exciting post on Alexandria’s Facebook page:
“Yesterday, a dream of mine came true. I got to shoot a major spread for Vogue Italia. It’s beyond surreal and I cannot even explain how blessed I feel to have this opportunity. Two years ago, I was just a girl in Central Illinois who worked as an umpire and had dreams too big to ever believe they’d be true. And now I am going to be featured in the top fashion magazine in the world shot by a world famous photographer! I can’t wait for it to come out and to share it with you. Thank you to everyone who believed in me!” ~Alexandria
I was so excited to hear she shot for Vogue. I immediately told my husband and family including my aunt and cousins. After all the excitement with her Vogue Italia spread and now the TomTom Runner Cardio watch commercial Alexandria Morgan runs strapless, Alexandria Morgans TomTom ad was soon banned and the media exposure skyrocked as she was featured on the Huffington Post and several other media: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/07/22/alexandria-morgan-tomtom-advert-banned-video_n_5609241.html
Alexandria’s such a versatile model, with so many sides to her beauty. As you can see from my portraits below, she has a softness to her beauty, fierce eyes, an edgy and playful side and yet she has an elegant and ethereal side to her. I’ve always thought she would give Victoria Secret models a run for their money.
But let’s face it everyone, Alexandria Morgan’s beauty is iconic. In 40 years, she’ll be thought of as one of the greats.
Alexandria met me at the local photo convention at the Javits Center a few years ago. I introduced her to one of the world’s best wedding photographers Bambi Cantrell who immediately said “Has anyone ever told you that Taylor Swift looks like YOU?” Taylor doesn’t hold a candle to Alex, but I thought it was funny. hehe
Just after our portrait session, I blogged about our experience shooting together in Staten Island, New York Fall 2011. With all the excitement I thought I’d repost it today. You can see first hand that this gorgeous young lady back had more raw talent then you could ever imagine at 17 years old.
——ORIGINAL BLOG: Alexandria Morgan——
I know what you’re thinking. She is absolutely beautiful. Alexandria is a high school senior. She has a bright future ahead of her and plans to study journalism in college and has her sights set on the University of Chicago or Illinois. Not too bad… But let’s call a spade a spade. She comes from a talented and incredibly loving family and her mother modeled too. She has great genes, but it’s her drive and dedication that will take her far in life. She has a great spirit and is very serious about her future.
Alexandria flew from Illinois for our photo shoot with her dad who told us so much about his wonderful family. She has a talented younger sister and brother.
Photographing Alexandria was an absolute joy. At 5 feet 10 inches she has the potential to rock the modeling industry. She moves so gracefully and with ease. I know we are going to see a lot more of this young lady! In my next life, I’d like to roll out of bed and look like Alexandria =)
High school senior portraits are huge throughout the United States and are hitting Staten Island with force. High school juniors and seniors have photos taken for their yearbook and I often year how much these students wished they did something out of the ordinary. Well here’s your chance to take fabulous pictures that you’ll cherish forever.
Alexandria Morgan is simply a piece of art.

PPA Photographer of the year 2012

Art immortalizes a creator’s passion. With every brush stroke, we can later observe his or her intensity. In every composition, the aesthetics are designed to portray the artist’s perspective; a dream being made manifest in the connection of thought and action. And for a photographer, it is the conceptualization of an idea, documenting its design, and then bringing it to life through the lens of a camera.
Henri Cartier Bresson once realized, “I suddenly understood that a photograph could fix eternity in a instant”, before he realigned his career from painting into photography.

As is the case for many artists, fame results as a by-product of a unique style or the inherent character revealed to the world. We think of Annie Liebovitz’s perfectionism in the way she brings out her subject’s true personality to make us believe no photographer was present; but rather that we have glimpsed a person’s most intimate thoughts.
To see human ingenuity in action is to understand the inspiration of art. A true artist has an internal motivation, an unrelenting drive, and often times is journeying on an unchartered course in life. It is the sum of these experiences, more often than from formalized training, and the networking with other likeminded and talented people, that the work can be transformed into a masterpiece.
Every so often I meet an artist, whom despite his/her age, emulates the wisdom, skill and tenacity of a seasoned master. Most recently, my muse has been the incredibly talented Benjamin Von Wong.
It takes an immense amount of passion and commitment to capture the images that Ben Von Wong has been able to create. With limited experience and even less formal training, Wong has demonstrated a level of photography that can only be characterized as genius.

Utilizing his background in engineering, Wong’s work reminds me of those of the late Philippe Halsman, also a former engineer, and acclaimed cover photographer for LIFE magazine during the 50s, 60s and 70s.
Wong, like Halsman did in his career, work relentlessly on creating images of perfection. Photographs that make a viewer do a double take and question whether it is real are the culmination of hours and hours of tedious attention to detail and an intense striving toward the goal of creating an epic shot.
Time – http://www.vonwong.com/blog/nope-its-not-photoshop-can-you-guess-how-its-done/comment-page-1/
Part of Wong’s brilliance arises from the fact that he has harnessed it from his own awareness of his psyche. He is extraordinarily self-aware. Wong recognizes his limitations as well as his strengths. He actually credits his triumphs as after- effects of his shortcomings. For example, Wong’s own awareness of his limited patience has often become a catalyst for his getting projects completed quickly, and perfectly, before moving onto anything else.
This focus helps Wong enter into a creative zone of absorption; a state where time travels quickly as what psychology professor Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi iconically termed ‘flow’.
Wong reflects on his life with his family, traveling the world, attending thirteen different schools and having learned to speak 3 different languages.
These experiences broadened his awareness about multiple cultures and the world and added a global understanding of the variety of ways people live. Wong also realizes the difficulties of such a life, the constant struggle of not having a road mark, never knowing where he is going for sure. Never sure if he’s making the right decisions. He has had to reinvent himself so many times in his life and has had a tremendous amount of time to reflect on who he is and what he believes in.
The Agonist – http://www.vonwong.com/blog/the-agonist-promo-2012-2/
Wong’s photography is quite remarkable. He credits his creativity to the knowledge of what makes him happy, what keeps him happy to rise each morning and feel passionate about what is being sought. One distinctive attribute of an artist is the ability to see beauty, or the potential of beauty, in the everyday. As he meets new people and makes new connections, his repertoire of inspiration grows. Wong’s mind is so open to all that he is, as well as all that is everyone else.
After spending a short amount of time with Ben Von Wong, anyone would be privileged to attest to his brilliance, artistry and potential for further greatness. His mind has been able to develop in an environment which has primed him for iconic art. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this young man has set the bar for the photography industry for the years to come. Mark my words, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Von Wong’s work as he continues to bloom, expand and become more of who he is.

New Jersey Boudoir Photographers | Two Wardrobe Changes
Take Two Wardrobe Changes and Call me in the Morning with New Jersey Boudoir Photographers Je Revele
The majority of my clients are women. Therefore, it might not come as a surprise that many feel self conscious about their bodies when preparing for a shoot. Oh, if only my stomach were more toned. I wish I could erase this cellulite! I am fine with my body…except for my butt. That’s why many people only share their exposed bodies with their significant others. Sound familiar? Keeping this in mind, trying my best to set the atmosphere in the studio to be conducive for making every one of my model clients feel at his/her best. Luckily, it doesn’t take long for each person’s inner fire to become kindled and sparks began to fly through the lens.
Enter Dana.
Imagine a tediously chiseled goddess sculpture, in the flesh, walking through your door.
Dana arrived for her boudoir and glamour session and I was mesmerized immediately. First, I noticed her round, large, tantalizing eyes. It didn’t take long as she prepared her wardrobe to realize this medical resident was in need of examination!
Flirting for the camera seemed effortless for this total woman , revealing shapely legs, a grandiose smile, and some of the most feminine curves ever studied in human anatomy. It is evident that Dana loves her body. Rightfully so! She is in good company!
Dana’s Feedback:
I had a great experience with Je Revele. The pre-shoot phone call was great for helping me prepare what to bring and have me an idea of what to expect. At the actual shoot I was really impressed by the castle grounds — it was a beautiful setting. Also, the photographer and make-up artist were really easy-going and fun, which made the shoot enjoyable and relaxed. Thanks to the staff, I felt very comfortable during the shoot, even during my boudoir sessions. My favorite part of the shoot was the hair and make-up. They did such an amazing job for both me and my friend. I’m really glad I decided to do this with one of my best friends, Mitra, before moving away to CA, as I think this will be a memorable experience for us both.
Here are a few of our favorite portraits of Dana…

Mayor Bloomberg proclaimed March 8th as NYC Sportscasters Day! I was honored to attend and capture a few highlights of yesterdays breakfast round table at the “21” Club with New York sports anchors Warner Wolf, Len Berman, Sal Marchiano, Scott Clark and Bob Wolff.
Hearing Emmy Award winning sportscaster and New York Times Bestselling Author Len Berman discuss his big break (which almost didn’t happen) was such a treat! Warner, Sal, Scott and Bob all shared their most memorable interview over the years including stories of Ted Williams, Babe Ruth and many legends.
There were many distinguished guests in attendance including John Starks one of the most well-known Knicks of all-time who has a terrific foundation for 17 years and offers the “3 Point Scholarship Program” which assists New York/Tri-State & Tulsa area high school students in their pursuit of a college degree. Former New York City Governor Cuomo was in attendance and so many supporters joined this very special round table that was carefully named “One More Round” by world renowned sports expert Marty Appel, as he hopes for many more rounds in the future.
Here’s a highlight video of the breakfast round table at the “21” Club.
Being part of such a monumental event was such an honor. I really enjoyed hearing the stories shared at the “21” Club! This was another wonderful day for a local Staten Island Wedding Photographer.
